Connections - Charlotte Bronte

" I looked up: he seemed to me a tall gentleman; but then I was very little: his features were large, and they and all the lines of his frame were equally harsh and prim" (31).

Charlotte Bronte, used her events of her life and tied them into her book Jane Eyre, there are many different connections Bronte used throughout the novel, but one in particular is the connection she used for Mr. Brockelhurst and Lowood school seen in the quote above when Jane meets Mr. Brockelhurst. Bronte during her childhood was sent to Cowan Bridge school for girls, there she was meant by the fierce looking owner Mr. Wilson. These experiences that Bronte went through are incorporated all throughout her novel.
